Brook brings that same commitment to excellence to his philanthropic work.

The Brook J. Lenfest Foundation, established in 2000, works to lift up those who share his desire to achieve — focusing on education, job training and mentoring programs.
Brook co-founded the Mastery Charter Schools, and created a scholarship program at his alma mater, Penn State, and at Temple University, in cooperation with Mastery Charter Schools, Philadelphia Futures and White-Williams Scholars.

This indefatigable fellow isn’t all about work all the time—he’s also a competitive sailor and an avid art collector. His expertise in the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist schools led to major contributions to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

A Navy man with extraordinary engineering experience and a trove of terrific stories

Tom has worked in places few of us would even get the chance to see.

A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Tom served 20 years as a Navy Commander and Civil Engineer. As a Licensed General Contractor in the state of Florida and a Registered Professional Engineer in many states, he now shares his impressive experience and skill with Beachlen Development. Since 2009, Commander Laboon has been at the helm of the environmentally sensitive development at both ends of the Vero Beach barrier island. He oversaw the Sandy Lane and Splendida Dimora oceanfront estates in the south, and the development of impressively sized river-to-ocean properties on the island's north end.

Tom and Brook have been a successful team for over 17 years, developing residential and commercial properties in Pennsylvania and Florida. Tom and his wife, Marie, have enjoyed over 45 years together, have two beautiful daughters and four beloved grandkids. They call Jupiter home, and are active members of The Club at Admirals Cove.
